Proficiency in Survival Craft Limited

Proficiency in Survival Craft limited is for mariners who work aboard vessels with life rafts only. STCW mandates that all Able Seafarers demonstrate competency in survival craft operations. This course solves the problem for mariners working on vessels without lifeboats. This is an excellent course for inland workers, ferry workers, fishing vessels, or any vessel carrying alternative survival craft. This rating indicates that a mariner is proficient in subjects such as abandoning ship, launching life rafts and boats, lifesaving signals, first aid, SOLAS regulations, using an EPIRB, and emergency stations aboard ship.
