Course Refund Policy
The Northwest Maritime Academy & Northwest Response have a fair and equitable Refund Policy in place containing guidelines guaranteeing the refund of fees to course Participants under reasonable circumstances.
- Registration may be cancelled up to Five (5) working days prior to commencement of course with Participants either transferring to another course or receiving a full refund.
- Registration cancelled less than three working days but one day prior to commencement of a course will incur a 50% cancellation / transfer fee.
- If no cancellation notice is received, or cancellation is made with less than 24 hour notice, no refund will be issued.
You may substitute another Participant at any time prior to course commencement date should the nominated person be unable to attend. Notification of such changes is imperative.
The Northwest Maritime Academy & Northwest Response reserves the right to cancel or postpone a course to an alternative date. All registered Participants affected by such changes will receive a full refund or be offered the opportunity to transfer to the next available course date.
No refunds will be made after the commencement of the course unless the Participant can provide a medical certificate or show extreme personal hardship. In this case, fees may be refunded on a pro-rata basis at the discretion of The Northwest Maritime Academy & Northwest Response.
All monies received will be placed in a holding account and will not be accessed until the course commences. A relevant proportion of fees paid for the course will remain in that account until the program is completed, to ensure pro-rata refunds for eligible Participants.

Most items are shipped same day with standard UPS ground. Average delivery time is seven business days, should there be a back order or factory backlog we will notify you immediately upon receiving your order for goods.
When you register for a class you must download your class files that are linked in your class receipt and. This file has important information about the class and in some cases a parking permit that must be displayed on the dash of your vehicle during classes in Bremerton. If you do not display the parking permit while attending class in Bremerton, you will get a parking ticket.
First Aid Card Delivery:
Upon successful completion of a HSI-Medic class you will be issued an electronic card within 4 hours of the class ending. If you are taking a Red Cross class you will receive a Digital certificate via email within 24 hours. If you are taking a AHA Class you will you will receive a Digital certificate via email within 24 hours, and a hard copy card the day of class.
Red Cross Digital Certificates
The American Red Cross digital certificate is a first of its kind, online certificate that gives you anytime, anywhere access to your certification and training history.
Digital certificates can be viewed, printed or shared online and can be accessed at anytime through your Red Cross Account. Each certificate includes unique ID and a QR code. Class participants can visit redcross.org/confirm and enter the ID (or scan the QR code with a standard QR reader using a smart device) to access a copy of the valid certificate with student and training information.
Class participants with valid email addresses will receive an email with a link to their digital certificate after the end of the course. If you cannot locate the email containing the link, or if an email address was not submitted for you, simply navigate to redcross.org/getcertificate to access and print your certificate.
Hard Copy First Aid/CPR/AED Cards
Only our corporate clients and American Heart Association classes receive hard copy cards at the time of class. All other First Aid/CPR/AED class attendees receive electronic certificates.
The Northwest Maritime Academy & Northwest Response uses photographs, photographic images, names, and audio and video recordings of employees and students for general publicity in publications, public relations, promotions, publicity, and advertising. Any employees or students (or the parents or guardians of such persons, if under age 18) who do NOT want to be photographed or recorded, or to have their names, voices, or biographical materials used in connection with any such recording, must complete a Photo Opt Out Release form and return it to the Operations Director.
Unless a fully executed Photo Opt Out Release form is on file, your image and/or likeness may at any time be captured by still photography, videography, or other photographic or electronic means. Northwest Maritime Academy & Northwest Response reserves the right to use any such image, photograph, video, or the like for any Northwest Maritime Academy & Northwest Response related purpose, including but not limited to promoting, publicizing and/or advertising on behalf of Northwest Maritime Academy & Northwest Response in print publications, on the Internet, or in other media such as signage and/or presentations.
Also, your presence in or around Northwest Maritime Academy & Northwest Response facilities and/or properties, as well as at off-campus sponsored events, constitutes your consent to the capture and/or use of your image and/or voice by Northwest Maritime Academy & Northwest Response, and waives any claims or rights, whether in law or in equity.
Employees or students who do NOT want to be photographed or recorded, and who submit a completed PhotoOpt Out Release form, are responsible for removing themselves from the area in which photographing/recording is occurring, or notifying the camera operator of their opt-out status. Failure to do so may result in the employees’ or students’ inclusion in a photograph or recording; it will be deemed equivalent to a release, and will allow Northwest Maritime Academy & Northwest Response to use that photograph or recording as it chooses.
