This U.S. Coast Guard approved Captain's course meets the written examination requirement for Master 100-ton and includes both the Inland and Near Coastal routes. Secondly, it includes the 25 or 50-ton limits, OUPV and the Mate 100-ton as well.
This is the first ever, mixed Telepresence course for Able Seaman anywhere in the United States that includes remote testing. you can take this class either in our classroom or at home.
The program will utilize a state-of-the-art Live-on-line, three camera system, and conferencing platform that will allow for as much interaction as if you were actually in classroom. In addition to the in-house instructor, you will also have a dedicated online instructor to facilitate communications with the podium instructor, answer questions, and field requests. Its like having two instructors at one time.

This course is held over a ten-day period. The class starts each day at 0800 and finishes at 1700. Each lesson is instructor lead. There is a complete lesson review at the conclusion of each lesson including a progress test. We do not advance to the next lesson until all students successfully pass each lesson test. This is very helpful for students to build confidence in the subject matter and prepare themselves for the final exam on the last day of class.
