This U.S. Coast Guard approved Captain’s course meets the written examination requirement for Master 100-ton and includes both the Inland and Near Coastal routes. Secondly, it includes the 25 or 50-ton limits, OUPV and the Mate 100-ton as well.
This course is held over a ten-day period. The class starts each day at 0800 and finishes at 1700. Each lesson is instructor lead. There is a complete lesson review at the conclusion of each lesson including a progress test. We do not advance to the next lesson until all students successfully pass each lesson test. This is very helpful for students to build confidence in the subject matter and prepare themselves for the final exam on the last day of class.
Upon successful completion of the final exams, you will receive a course Certificate of Training that is valid for 1 year to be submitted to the USCG.
Topics covered in this course are:
Rules of the Road (72 COLREGS)
