Come on down to beautiful Gig Harbor and get trained in American Heart Associations Basic Life Support with Captain Ben!

Class will be Located at : 3177 Harborview Drive, Gig Harbor,WA 98335

The Northwest Maritime Academy is holding the American Heart Association BLS Class. the class takes about 4-5 hours and the certificate is good for 2 years.

Who should take the Course?

Healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians,respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician’s assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, Nannys or babysitters and other allied health personnel and/or anyone who wants to learn Advanced CPR and be a kick-ass Lifesaver.

What will you learn?
• The components of high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• The AHA Chain of Survival for prehospital and in-facility providers
• Important early use of an AED
• Effective ventilations using a barrier device
• Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as
an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants
What should I bring?
A great attitude and some clothes that allow you to move around freely. The the Northwest maritime Academy believes in real world, practical training so you might have to clear the scene of dangerous tools or obstacles so be ready to move.
